This page says what the estimate form asks for, who reads it, how long it stays, and what to do if you want it gone. It is written to be checked against the form rather than to sound reassuring.

Who publishes this site
Memphis Elite Solar publishes this site and operates the phone number and the estimate form on it. We are a matching service: we write about solar in Memphis and Shelby County, and we pass a request from someone who wants a quote to a solar contractor who does the work. We do not design, sell, finance, install or inspect anything, and nothing on this site is a quotation.
We hold no premises open to the public and publish no street address, so there is no counter to walk into and no visitor book. Serving Memphis and the surrounding Shelby County area.
What the estimate form collects
Every box on the form is listed here. If the form starts asking for something the list does not name, this page is wrong, and the build that produces the site is set up to fail rather than publish the two out of step.
- Your nameso that whoever calls back knows who they are asking for
- A phone numberthe only route anyone has for getting an answer back to you
- The address of the propertybecause the utility, the inspection authority and the roof itself are all decided by it, and around Memphis the address can put a property under three different sets of rules
- Whether you are thinking about cash, finance or a leasebecause the answer changes what a quote can honestly say, and "not decided" is an answer the form takes
- What you want the system to dooptional, and the most useful box on the form
- Photographs of the roof, if you attach anyoptional, and there is more below about where those are kept
- The page you were readingfilled in for you, so we can tell which page produced a request. It is stored, so it is listed here rather than left out
The form carries one more box that is not on that list and is not part of what we collect. It is hidden, it is there for automated submissions to fill in, and anything typed into it is discarded rather than stored. Naming it here would tell the software it is meant to catch which box to leave alone.
We do not ask for an email address, a date of birth, a household income figure, a credit score or anything about your finances beyond the one question above. Nothing on this site asks you to create an account, and there is nothing to log in to.
Where a request goes
A completed form reaches us and nobody else. This site is built to hand a request to one local solar contractor rather than to a list of them, and no contractor is attached to it yet, so at the moment there is nowhere else for a request to go. When one is, this paragraph changes on the same day and says who is receiving it. Until then the honest answer is that a request would sit with us.
Whoever ends up calling you is a separate company handling your details under their own policy from the point the call starts. We do not control what they keep or how long they keep it, and it is a fair question to ask them.
Photographs of a roof
A photograph of a roof is the most useful thing you can send and it is also a picture of where you live. Anything attached to the form is stored privately with our hosting provider, in storage that is not listed, not browsable and not reachable from a public address. It is not published on this site, it is not used in any of the pictures on it, and it is not passed to anyone other than the contractor taking the request.
Every photograph on this site is generated illustration rather than a job anyone did. That is stated in the caption under each one, and it is true of every page.
Phone calls
The number on this site is a tracked line, which means a call to it is logged with the number it came from, the time and how long it lasted. Nobody is connected to it at the moment. A call reaches a recorded answerphone message instead, so what is recorded is the message you choose to leave after the tone, and you can hang up rather than leave one.
Tennessee law allows a call to be recorded with the consent of one party to it. Mississippi and Arkansas, which parts of this metro fall into, take the same position. If you would rather not be recorded at all, use the form on this site instead of the number.
What the site itself records
This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no advertising pixels and carries no social network trackers. Nothing here follows you to another website.
No analytics of any kind runs on this site today. If that changes, this paragraph will name the tool before it is switched on.
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission came from a person rather than from a script. It runs in your browser, it is not a puzzle you have to solve, and Cloudflare receives the technical signals it needs to make that judgement. Cloudflare also serves this site, so it handles the request either way.
Our host keeps ordinary server logs of requests to the site, including the address on the internet a request came from. Those are operational records rather than a profile of anyone and are not joined up with what a form submission says.
How long anything is kept
A form submission and any photographs attached to it are kept while the request is live and for as long afterwards as we need them to answer a question about what happened to it. Ask us to delete a submission and we will, and we will say when it is done.
We keep no marketing list. Sending the form does not sign you up to anything, and there is no newsletter to unsubscribe from.
Asking for a copy, a correction or a deletion
Ask for what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Use the routes on the contact page, say which request you are asking about and roughly when you sent it, and we will answer.
Tennessee's consumer data law does not currently reach a publisher this small, and we answer these requests anyway. A right you have to argue about is not much of a right.
Children
The form is for property owners and occupiers. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly keep anything sent by one.
When this page changes
The date at the top is the day this text last changed. If the form starts asking for something new, this page changes on the same day the form does, because the site will not build otherwise. That is the only promise on this page you can check from outside, and it is deliberately the one doing the most work.
The terms this site is used under are on the terms page.
