Terms of use
Using this site means accepting what is below. It is short because there is not much to it: this is a website that publishes figures and passes on requests, and it is careful about not pretending to be more than that.

What this site is
Memphis Elite Solar publishes this site. We are a matching service. We write about solar in Memphis and Shelby County, we run the phone number and the estimate form here, and we pass a request from somebody who wants a quote to a solar contractor who does the work.
We are not that contractor. We do not design a system, price one, finance one, install one, inspect one or warrant one, and no page here is an offer to do any of those. The work, the quote and the guarantee are between you and whoever turns up.
What sending a request does and does not do
Sending the form or calling the number reaches us. No contractor is attached to this site yet, so a request currently goes no further than that, and nothing here creates a contract with anyone. When an operator is attached, this paragraph says so and the rest of it still holds: a request commits nobody to anything.
Nothing here should be read as us having checked anybody's licence, insurance or certification on your behalf, because we have not. Ask a contractor for their licence number and their insurance and check both yourself. MLGW points homeowners at the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners as the standard to look for, which is a reasonable place to start.
The figures on this site
Where a page states a rate, a rule, a charge or a deadline, it names the organisation that published it and the date the page was read. That is the whole basis on which anything here is worth trusting, and it has a limit worth stating plainly: a figure is accurate as at the date beside it, and utilities, the tax authorities and the state commissions all change their rules without asking us.
If a published source and a page here disagree, the source is right and the page is out of date. Check the original before spending money on the strength of anything you read here. The links are on the pages for that reason rather than for decoration.
Nothing on this site is tax advice, legal advice, engineering advice or a financial recommendation, and no page here has been written with knowledge of your roof, your usage or your circumstances.
The photographs
Every photograph on this site is generated illustration. None of them is a job anyone did, a property anyone owns or a customer's roof, and each one is captioned as illustrative where it appears. Read them as a picture of the subject rather than as a portfolio.
Links to other sites
Pages here link to utilities, government agencies and standards bodies so a reader can check a figure at its source. Those sites are not ours, we do not control what they publish and a link is not an endorsement of anything else on them.
What we do not promise
The site is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and we cannot promise it is complete, current or free of error, that it will always be available, or that any request sent through it will produce a call, a quote or a job.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a loss arising from relying on something published here, from a request that did not reach anyone, or from anything a contractor does or fails to do. That last one is not a technicality. We are not their employer and we do not supervise their work.
The content itself
The writing, the layout and the pictures on this site belong to us. Quote a paragraph with a link back and that is fine. Copying a page wholesale is not, and neither is republishing the imagery.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Tennessee, and a dispute about them belongs in the courts sitting in Shelby County, Tennessee.
When this page changes
The date at the top of this page moves when the text does. Carrying on using the site after a change means accepting the version published at the time.
