Getting an answer
Contact us about solar in Memphis, TN
Send the address of the property and a recent MLGW bill, and the answer you get back is about that roof rather than about the city. There is no showroom to visit and nothing to sit through.
Send these three things
The address, a recent MLGW bill, and a photograph of the roof. The address decides which utility's rules apply, the bill shows what the property actually uses and when, and the photograph shows what there is to work with. Everything else can be worked out from a conversation.
The address matters more here than it would elsewhere. This metro crosses two state lines, and a roof in Shelby County, one across the line in Arkansas and one in Mississippi are under three different sets of rules.
Send the details
Six boxes, three of them optional. It goes to the same place a call does.
How to reach us
The form above asks for the address, a phone number, whether you are thinking about cash, finance or a lease, and anything you want to add, and you can attach photographs of the roof. What each box is for is set out on the privacy policy.
Or call (901) 590-1200 . It is a tracked line, which means the call is logged: the number it came from, the time, and how long it lasted. It rings nobody at the moment. It answers with a recorded message that names this site, so you know what you rang, and then a tone.
Nobody picks the phone up, and that is worth saying plainly
There is no one sitting on this line waiting for it to ring, at any hour of any day, so every call reaches the recorded message rather than a person. Leave your name, your number and the town you are in after the tone and it reaches us. We do not put a time on a call back, because a promise nobody is standing behind is worth less than the silence it replaces.
If you would rather not leave a message, the form above reaches the same place and asks for the things that decide an answer, which a voicemail cannot.
A roof is not an emergency. If a system has stopped producing, that is worth a call and it will keep until the morning. If there is water coming through a ceiling or a burning smell at a panel or an inverter, stop reading this page: switch the system off at its disconnect and ring an electrician or the fire service.
There is no office, and no map
Most contractor contact pages carry a pin on a map and a list of opening times. This one does not, and the reason is simple enough to state: there is no building to visit. Serving Memphis and the surrounding Shelby County area, which is a description of where the work happens rather than an address where we sit. A map with a pin dropped on a random street in Memphis would be a picture of something that does not exist.
Nothing about a solar quote needs a showroom anyway. What decides the answer is the roof, the bill and the utility, and none of those is in a room with a desk in it.
What happens after you send something
A request currently reaches us and nobody else, because no contractor is attached to this site yet. This site is built to hand a request to one local solar contractor rather than to a list of them, and that is written here, on the about page, on the privacy policy and in the terms, all four of which change on the same day an operator is attached.
No licence, insurance or certification has been checked on your behalf by us. Ask a contractor for their licence number and their insurance before signing anything, whoever introduced you.
Three things to save you the message
- We are not MLGW. An outage, a high bill, a meter question or an interconnection application is the utility's, not ours. What the utility requires is set out on the interconnection page, and the application itself goes to them.
- Panel washing is not something this site covers. It is a real trade in this city and it is a different one. Nothing here is set up to help with it.
- A price cannot be given over a form. Any figure quoted before somebody has seen the roof and the usage is a number picked to sound reasonable. What you can get quickly is whether the arithmetic is worth pursuing at all on that building.

Start with the address and the bill
It takes a minute and it is the difference between an answer about your roof and an answer about Memphis.
